Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!

It will be a short letter this year. There’s nothing huge or exciting happening. We are all healthy and doing well.

We went to Arizona to visit friends in February. Traveled towing a used travel trailer we purchased the previous fall. It was a real shakedown trip, and think we found everything that we needed to fix or learn. Then somehow we never found time to use it again this year. We did make it to the cabin in Lapine for ten days over July 4th, and again in November for another week. That was about it for any traveling.

Heidi and Jason ran into some financial difficulty, so we are helping by taking Heidi and April in for a few months till the paychecks start adding up again. Heidi is working at a Loan Office, and enjoys it. Even though she was accepted at Western Culinary for Pastry Chef schooling, it just wasn’t financially possible. Her outside jobs were near minimum wage, and the last of them faded away after the new year. We do get to enjoy our almost three year old April a lot more now though.

The rest of the year was taken up with more mundane things. We barbecued in the back yard, had the annual yard sale, helped Jason and Heidi move, helped Linda’s sister move, helped friends move, went to a wedding, attended the family reunion, visited friends, had a legal conflict with a new neighbor, etc. You know, the everyday stuff.

Again, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and may God bless each and every one of you throughout the coming year.
