It’s that time of year again, to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our family and friends. We hope that this past year was good for everyone, and that the coming one to be even better.
Again, nothing exciting to report. Linda and I are in good health except for the occasional cold. We managed to get out with the travel trailer once this year. We spent a week with my brother Howard and his wife at the coast, riding 4-wheelers on the sand dunes. Had a blast. The weather couldn’t have been better, and the company great. We were also able to get to the cabin in Lapine several times. We burned the piled up brush in the spring, visited with visitors and neighbors over July 4th week, and piled up more stuff to burn in the fall. We will burn brush again next spring after the snow is gone. We lost two of our pets this year. First the cat Rudy in the middle of summer, and then our dog Ralf to cancer the first of October. He would have been 15 years old in November. Have a new dog now, Lucy, just a year old, another Border Collie. We got her from a dog rescue agency and it’s obvious she has been abused sometime in her past. She is very smart and will be a great dog after we have had her for a while.
Heidi and Jason are doing fine. Jason is still driving bus and Heidi is still working as manager of one of those “payday loan” places. She was able to change employers recently and got a raise and improved benefits. April is a year older, (3-3/4 now), and is in a preschool day care one day a week. It’s real good for her to interact with other kids, as with both parents working and various grandparents doing most of the sitting, not much chance to learn to play with others her own age. She is smart and adaptable, and enjoys her time in “school”.
Hope this is enough of a letter for everyone. We will sign off by again wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and may God bless you all in the coming New Year.
